Close-up and macro accessories
A broad range of accessories for close-up and macro photography exists for the Konica SLR system:
-
Attachment lenses / Close-up lenses
Allow to focus for shorter distances than with the lens alone. -
Extension Rings
Enlarge the distance between lens and camera body, such allowing for shorter distances to the subject and larger magnification ratios. -
Bellows / Auto Bellows
Working principle is the same as with extension rings, increasing the distance between camera body and lens. Bellows allow for longer extensions than extension rings and therefore for higher magnification ratios. In addition, the change of extension is stepless. The automatic bellows Auto Bellows AR provide automatic aperture functionality and a separate focusing rail, but fully automatic AE exposure control is not possible. The simpler bellows have no focusing rail and no automatic aperture. -
Double Cable Release AR
A double cable release for the mechanical Konica bodies. Before introduction of the electronic bodies, it was part of the Auto Bellows AR and Auto Ring, but was also available seperately. It consists of two mechanical cable releases which are triggered simultaneously by a common push button. -
Double Cable Switch AR
A double cable release for the electronical Konica bodies. Since introduction of the electronical bodies, it was part of the Auto Bellows AR and Auto Ring, but was also available seperately. It consists of a mechanical cable release for triggering the bellows or the Auto Ring, and of an electrical wire that plugs into the accessory socket on the electronical bodies. -
Reverse Adapter
Allows lenses with 55mm filter thread to be mounted with the front element pointing towards the camera body when used together with bellows or extension rings, thus allowing for large magnification ratios. -
Auto Ring AR and Double Cable Release
Enables automatic closure of the aperture to preset value when releasing the shutter with Konica extension rings or bellows, or when lens is mounted in reverse orientation. The Auto Ring 2 AR kann also be used as an extension ring with an extension of 14mm (9/16"). -
Auto Helicoid AR
The dedicated macro lens Macro-Hexanon AR 105 mm / F4 is designed for the use with bellows or extension rings. Therefore it has no helicoid and can not be focused to different distances without further equipment. With the Auto Helicoid AR, the Macro-Hexanon AR 105 mm / F4 can be used directly on the camera body and can be focused. In addition, the Auto Helicoid AR can be used as an extension ring with other lenses, maintaining the fully automatic AE exposure control. -
Focusing Rail
For precise focusing of a setup with extension rings or bellows is possible without changing the magnification ratio. With the focusing rail, the complete setup of camera, bellows or extension rings, and lens is moved back or forth, the setup itself is not changed in any way. Can also be used with the copy stand. -
Slide Copier
For photography of slides or film negatives, duplicating. Takes framed slides, film strips or rolls. Usable only in combination with bellows. -
Slide Copier Adapter
Is required if the slide copier is to be combined with reverse photography, i. e. for blow-ups of slide or negative sections. -
Macro Stand AR
A subject holder for small subjects like stamps or similar. Can only be used with Bellows 3 AR or Auto Bellows AR. -
Copy Stand
For photography of flat subjects, reproduction of drawings, documents and the like. The camera is held above a flat table with the lens towards the table, the distance between camera and table can be adjusted. -
Bellows adapter 57mm F1.2
The extremely fast lens Hexanon AR 57 mm / F1.2 does not have the 55 mm filter thread as do most Konica lenses. For this reason, the Reverse Adapter does not fit that lens. With this adapter, lenses with a 62 mm filter thread can be used in reverse position on bellows. On Extension Bellows II AR / 2 AR and Extension Bellows 2D AR you will also need the reverse adapter. -
Microscope Adapter
Enables photography through a microscope; the microscope adapter is mounted on the camera body instead of a lens, the other end is put in the place of the eyepiece of the microscope. Thus, the microscope's optics are in fact the lens for the shot. Very rare and quite expensive. -
Magnifier
Is mounted on the eyepiece of the camera body and enlarges the central area of the viewfinder image to allow for precise focusing in close-up or copying work. Can be folded out of the way to see the entire viewfinder image. -
Angle Finder
Is mounted on the eyepiece of the camera body. Due to the bend of almost 90°, the angle finder allows to look through the viewfinder when the camera is in difficult positions i. e. near the floor with macro shots or on the copy stand.
