Eye cups for viewfinder eyepiece
For the viewfinder eyepieces of Konica SLR cameras, rubber eye cups to prevent irritation from stray light when looking through the finder are available.
I do not have any information, if such eye cups were available for the early bodies with F bayonet already.
The Eye Cup AR fit on the round viewfinder eyepieces of earlier Konica bodies with AR bayonet from Auto-Reflex to Autoreflex T3N. It can also be adapted to the rectangular eyepieces of later camera bodies by means of the Eyepiece Converter AR.
The Eye Cup 2 AR can only be used on the rectangular eyepieces of later cameras from Autoreflex TC up to TC-X.
Eye Cup AR
For the round viewfinder eyepieces of early camera bodies with AR bayonet, starting with Auto-Reflex up to Auto-Reflex T3N, there are screw-in eye cups named Eye Cup AR. They are just screwed into the viewfinder eyepiece thread instead of the standard eyepiece protection glass. They can also be used on later bodies with rectangular eyepiece by means of Eyepiece Converter AR accessory adapter.
The Eye Cup AR can not be equipped with a correction lens. It is equipped with a fixed, normal protection glass. For this reason, the correction lenses were offered including a – detachable – eye cup.
Eye Cup 2 AR
Similar eye cups do exist for the rectangular eyepieces of the later Konica SLR bodies from Autoreflex TC on. These are named Eye Cup 2 AR. Eye Cup 2 AR is simply slided into the guide rails on the viewfinder eyepiece and clicks into place in correct position. Different from the earlier Eye Cup AR for the round viewfinder eyepiece, the Eye Cup 2 AR does not have an additional protection glass for the eyepiece. The Eye Cup 2 AR can not be attached to a round viewfinder eyepiece of older camera bodies.
The glass lens of a matching Diopter Correction Lens 2 AR can be mounted in the Eye Cup 2 AR.
If you follow the link, there is a user's manual for Diopter Correction Lens 2 AR and Eye Cup 2 AR available for download.
